Mindscape is a body of work that encapsulates Ajaya’s experiences as an international student in the United States from 2020 - 2024. Each piece is a creative representation of these experiences and memories depicted through abstract imagery. These pieces showcase the inner landscape of her mind, encompassing thoughts, feelings, memories, and imagination.
Through the use of different materials, which are either sourced from the locations represented in the work or carefully selected through tedious trial and error processes and experiments, Ajaya has created this body of 14 art pieces that touch on different subjects like homesickness, coping mechanisms, dual identity, adjusting in a new place, finding a sense of belonging, etc.
These pieces highlight different times and moments that have helped Ajaya become the artist she is today.
