TrashCan is a sculpture made by Ajaya (Maggie) Bhatnagar using waste and discarded materials. This sculpture combines some of the most common waste materials generated by humans such as plastic and aluminum with nature. The sculpture, which is made completely of discarded waste materials, has live plants growing out of it.

Through this piece, the artist wanted to convey the message of how waste material can be repurposed and used to make not just something useful, but something that also supports life. As a part of the performance, the audience was encouraged to take a pant clipping from the sculpture and planted it in their homes.
